Searching for a Specific City
Suppose you are planning a trip to London. Go ahead and type London into the LOCATION SEARCH box. Click "Search by Location," and you will be given a list of cities that match. Then click on a city name to see the listings for that city!
(These are live search boxes! Go ahead and give it a try!)
Notice that you found not only London, England but also London, Ontario and New London, Connecticut... (Also Londonderry, New Hampshire which is a close match.) If you wanted to go directly to London, Ontario, you could just enter "London, Ontario".
Advanced Search: Limiting Categories
For more advanced searching, there are two ways you can limit your Location Search to just the category of information you need. For example, let's say you want to find out about hotels in the Castro, but you're not sure what they are called.
1. First there's the Rapid Results method. Just type "Castro accommodations" or "Castro hotels" in the LOCATION SEARCH box and then click the "Search by Location" button. You'll see the following answer:
San Francisco, SF-Castro & Noe Valley, California, USA
Click this link, and you'll see the follwing results:

The number in parenthesis after the word "Accommodations" represents the number of listings we have in the Castro for that particular category, e.g., there are 27 accommodations.
Click that link and...
You'll see ALL the accommodations in the Castro. You're ready to check out the weblinks, choose a hotel, and book your room.
2. The second method is called Refined Results, because it makes use of the "Refine Search by Category" button.
First, type "Castro" in the LOCATION SEARCH box and then click the "Search by Location" button. Your search will return two answers:
Castroville, California, USA
San Francisco, SF-Castro & Noe Valley, California, USA
Click the link for San Francisco, SF-Castro & Noe Valley, California, USA. When you get to the new page, you'll see a new link in the blue box that says "Refine Search by Category."

Click it, and a new box pops up, allowing you to choose only the Damron categories you want to explore.

Since you're interested in accommodations, click the check box in front of Accommodations, and then click the "Refine Search" button.
When you scroll down, you'll see ONLY the Accommodations category. You can use the "Refine Search by Category" option over and over, to view any combination of DAMRON categories you like.
Searching for a Specific Business
It is also possible to search for a particular business name. Just enter the name (or partial name) of a business in the BUSINESS SEARCH box, click on "Search by Name," and a list of matching businesses will appear.
The Regional Search
If you are in more of a wandering mood, you can use the "BROWSE BY REGION" section to peruse listings all across the globe. Just click on the region you would like to explore....
